– Applications for Romanian performances (independent, indoor/outdoor Romanian performances that premiered between 1.07.2025 and 31.05.2026). The selection jury is made up of theater critics: Oana Cristea Grigorescu, Oltița Cîntec, Cristiana Gavrilă.

The 16th edition of the Bucharest Fringe festival – Independent Theatre Marathon will take place between 4 and 13 September 2026 and will focus on promoting the spaces and artistic groups of independent theatre in Romania, through the sections Competition, Student Theatre Evenings, New Production in the Festival, ATI (own proposals of independent theatres). Along with the selection of independent troupes and shows from Romania, the festival will also include a selection of independent shows from abroad.

Despre BFringe:
Ediția a 16-a a festivalului Bucharest Fringe – Maratonul Teatrului Independent se va desfășura în perioada 4 – 13 septembrie 2026 și va avea în centrul atenției promovarea spațiilor și a grupurilor artistice din teatrul independent din România, prin secțiunile Competiție, Serile Teatrului Studențesc, Producție nouă în Festival, ATI (propuneri proprii ale teatrelor independente). Alături de selecția de trupe și spectacole independente din România, festivalul va include și o selecție de spectacole independente din străinătate.
